New York brand Supreme has worked with some of the best fashion and lifestyle brands, planting
its iconic red and white logo onto suitcases, pinball machines, clothing and footwear. Supreme is
known for its philosophy of branding and turning everyday objects into extremely limited edition
collections causing the ultimate hype with each collaboration.
The newest creation? The New York label has teamed up with makeup artist Pat McGrath, one of
the most influential makeup artists and creative figures in the world of beauty to create a bold new
lipstick. This marks the first beauty product in Supreme's 26-year history.
What’s to be expected of the streetwear label’s debut foray into makeup? “An iconic red, embodied
in the ultimate matte lipstick,” says McGrath. The lipstick will be red and it will be available in one
red shade only: SUPREME. It will be housed in McGrath’s now iconic gold bullet emblazoned with
a set of gold lips, and punctuated by Supreme’s red box and blocky white Supreme logo.
The lipstick will feature McGrath’s cult-favourite MatteTrance formula. From experience with other
MatteTrance lipsticks from McGrat's LABS line, the signature bright red is sure to be creamy and
opaque. Its high-intensity and hydrating pigment is typically mixed with optical diffusers to blur
But, the item goes beyond just being a collector’s item, in this challenging time, let’s not forget that
red lipstick has been a timeless tool for feeling uplifted and powerful. So, whether you’re a
hypebeast or not, Supreme’s red lipstick will has universal appeal.
The surprise lipstick drop is't the only somewhat unexpected item in brand's Fall/Winter 2020
accessories lineup. According to Hypebeast, Supreme's forthcoming accessories offerings will
include collaborations with brands as varied as watch brand Jacob & Co., the "Mortal Kombat"; franchise, a Supreme Chucky Doll, Supreme x Colgate cavity protection toothpaste and more.
Neither a price nor an official launch date have been released, but the lipstick will only be sold
online at Supreme’s website, and the first drop of the F/W 2020 collection is happening this week.
As the logo-mania craze continues, this collab is sure to be an instant sellout.
