PUMA collaborates with Cara Delevingne on Pride Month collection

Pride month is finally here and although Covid-19 may have removed the physical aspects of the event this year, fashion brands are showing their support for the LGBT+ community.

Cara Delevingne, supermodel and LGBTQ+ activist, is here to remind us that now is more important than ever to support each other which the launch of her new collection with PUMA for Pride Month.

The model who is a brand ambassador of PUMA, has collaborated with the sportswear giant to create a limited edition 13 piece collection, 'From PUMA With Love', dedicated to Pride Month this June. Delevingne first signed on as an ambassador for PUMA in 2016 and has since designed many collections but this is by far the most sensational.

The range features a combination of apparel and footwear including colourful ombré slides, a fun waist-bag, and an assortment of colourful t-shirts and hoodies all finished with a rainbow PUMA emblem. The affordable collection which is sure to brighten up your closet is priced between £15 and £40.

“With rainbow designs and graphics inspired by love and unity, this vibrant gear was made to be worn with pride – and it reminds us that we’re always stronger together. So no matter where you are or how you choose to celebrate this year, we’ll be right there with you” wrote PUMA of their new collection on their site.

The best part of PUMA’s newest launch is that 20 per cent of all proceeds from the collection are being donated to The Cara Delevingne Foundation which supports LGBTQ+ empowering-focused charities including GLAAD, The Trevor Project and Mind Out.

“Cara’s active voice as a leader and a member of LGBTQ+ community made her a perfect partner to collaborate with on this pride-inspired project” said Adam Petrick, the global director of brand and marketing at the sportswear brand.

On top of promoting love and equality, the model has always been open when it comes to her sexuality. In the latest June issue of Variety, the model spoke candidly about her sexual orientation, revealing that she is pansexual.

Most recently, Cara Delevingne and Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson ended their relationship after almost two years. However, the model has stayed busy with her activist work as she was spotted marching in the Black Lives Matter protest in London and announced her Pride month collection with PUMA at the start of June.

The brand ambassador is already sporting the collection on her Instagram and will be engaging in several giveaways throughout June. Delevingne also joined PUMA on June 3rd for TikTok’s #OneCommunity Live programming for a Pride discussion.
