LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has appointed Anne de Vergeron as the new chief executive officer of Repossi, an Italian jewelry house founded in 1920 by Gian Petro Repossi.
Repossi is the product of three generations of heritage and craftsmanship, and is headed by the Creative and Artistic Director of the House, Gaia Repossi, who was appointed in 2007 at the age of 21 years old. The President is Alberto Repossi, the grandson of the founder of the House.
As stated in the history statement on their website – ‘The DNA of the Brand is articulated through elegant designs of wide sculptural shapes, combined with subtle austerity within statement collections, all strongly influenced by modern and contemporary sculpture and architecture.’
Since the beginning of their partnership with LVMH in 2015, Repossi has been developing its retail network worldwide, opening shops in Dubai, London, Doha, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
Anne de Vergeron was already a board member of the jeweler upon her appointment, and she worked toward the acquisition of Repossi back in 2015, as group director of business development at LVMH. This is a suitable nomination, as she already has plenty of experience with working for the brand; she and Gaia Repossi share a good artistic and professional dynamic as well.
“Our goal is to find the right balance by expanding the brand identity and maintaining a coherent message on who we are, what we stand for, where we come from while continuing our artistic dialogues,” she said, when asked about what she envisions as the main challenge to the brand.
Keep an eye out for Repossi: the label is launching e-commerce early next year, initially in Europe, followed by a global rollout.
